a) When Amoeba senses food, it pushes out its finger like projections called pseudopodia around the food particle and engulf it.
b) The two pseudopodia join around the food partic and trap the food particle with a little water fo forming vacuole.
c) Digestive juice present inside the vacuole acts on the food and break in to simpler substances.
d) The digestive food is then absorbed and is used for growth, maintenance and multiplication.
e) The undigested food is expelled out by vacuole.
