Echinodermata is originated from 2 greek words , echinos meaning hedgehog and derma means skin son it means organism having spines in their body.

These are free living marine animals.

They are triploblastic and have a coelomic cavity.

They have water driven tube system for movement.

They have hard calcium carbonate structure that they use as a skeleton.

Examples are starfish and sea urchins.
