ECHO. ... The repetition of sound caused by reflection of sound waves from an obstacle is known as anecho. The sensation of sound persists in our brain for about 0.1 s. To hear a distinct echo, the time interval between the original and reflected sound must be at least 0.1 s.

If we shout or clap near a suitable reflecting object ( such as a tall building, empty room,a well ,a mountain, etc. ) we will hear the same sound again a little later. This reflected sound which we hear is called echo.

The sensation of each sound remains in our brain for 0.1s . To hear a clear echo, the time interval between the original sound and the reflected sound should be more than 0.1s....

Hope it helps ☆☆
