HELLO GUYS

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.......

ANSWER -:

FUSE -: A fuse is a device that shuts off the power to an electrical circuit when too much electric current flows through it.

EXPLANATION -:

This usually happens when too many appliances are plugged in or when there is a short circuit. A fuse is made as an intentional weak spot in a circuit that will melt (or "blow") when too much current is flowing through it, shutting off the power to the rest of the circuit. This protects the rest of the circuit. After the fuse blows, the problem that caused it to blow must be corrected and the fuse must be replaced to restore power to the circuit. A circuit breaker does the same job as a fuse, but it can be reset without replacing anything.

Electric Fuse .

It is a safety device that is used in household appliances to prevent short circuiting in the electrical machineries.

How it works ?

Fuse is made up of wire that has very low melting point. It is specially designed for this purpose. When excess electric current passes through it , it receives The heat and due to excess heating as well as low melting point it starts melting this is how the huge flow of current it is prevented and fuse acts as a safety device on the other hand protecting our appliances as well as wiring from shock.

A fuse is made up of a special type of material and as the current increases its limit of flow the wire will automatically breakdown.

A fuse is made up of very thin wire the reason is to minimise the resistance and allowed the smooth flowing of current through it. It can be composed of different elements like copper, silver etc .

But what if we don't use fuse ?

This may lead to the huge loss and can cause burning of the electrical appliances as well as fire too. so fuse are most important component present in the electrical appliances meant for the safety purpose.
