Answer:

1. Rayon

Explanation:

Rayon is a versatile fiber and is widely claimed to have the same comfort properties as natural fibers, although the drape and slipperiness of rayon textiles are often more like nylon. It can imitate the feel and texture of silk, wool, cotton and linen. The fibers are easily dyed in a wide range of colors.

Write a short note on following:

1. Rayon

Rayon is a regenerated cellulose fiber that is made from natural sources of cellulose, such as wood and related agricultural products.[1] It has the same molecular structure as cellulose.

2. Nylon

Nylon is the most common fiber for textiles and it is one of the strongest and most common fabrics on the market. It can be easily dyed so textiles can be made in a rainbow of colors. It is known to drape well and is used extensively in apparel. Nylon fabric is used in an almost countless number of items: book bags, back packs, flak jackets, wedding gowns and bridal veils, athletic shoes, ponchos, umbrellas, camera cases, swimsuits, socks, gloves, hats, luggage, and much more.

3. Polyester

Polyester is a generalised term for any fabric or textile, which is made using polyester yarns or fibres. It is a shortened name for a synthetic, man-made polymer, which, as a specific material, is most commonly referred to as a type called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It is made by mixing ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. That all sounds extremely scientific, but basically, polyester is a kind of plastic.

4. Acrylic

Acrylic is a man-made fibre. Acrylic is known as artificial wool or synthetic wool because it resembles wool. Acrylic is cheaper than natural wool and can be dyed in various colour. This makes acrylic is very popular among other fabrics.

5. Blended Fibres

Blended fibres are made by combining various fibres to enhance the property of the product. For eg: spandex and cotton is a natural mix for sports clothing and undergarments to improve stretching properties and prevent odour. A blended fabric helps overcome the disadvantages of natural and synthetic fibre.
