Geeta Phogat is a wrestler who made our India proud by winning first ever gold medal in wrestling at the common wealth games in 2010. she is the first Indian female wrestler to have qualified for the Olympic summer games,her father mahaveer Singh Phogat a former wrestler is also her coach.

She is from Haryana . Her father is Mahvir singh Phogat .She  is a freestyle wrestler who won India's first ever gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. She is also the first Indian female wrestler to have qualified for the Olympic Summer Games.Her sister Babita Kumari and her cousin Vinesh Phogat are also Commonwealth Games gold medalists.
She married fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar on 20 November 2016.
