The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without its atmosphere. If a planet's atmosphere contains radiatively active gases they will radiate energy in all directions.

Greenhouse effect is the problem caused by increased quantities of gases such as carbon dioxide in the air. These gases trap the heat from the sun, and cause a gradual rise in the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere . Some of the greenhouse gases are methane , Chlorofluor ocarbons Hydrofluoro -carbons ,Water vapor Carbon dioxide and ozone .
