(i) Properties of air:-

Air is a structure of various gases and it surrounds the earth. It contains life-giving materials such as death for humans and animals and carbondioxide for plants. Humans breathe oxygen through the air and release carbon dioxide. Air is an integral part of the Earth's mass. The air is colorless and odorless and can be felt only when it is in motion form. Air is a mixture of nitrogen(78%), oxygen(21%), argon(0.9%) and other gases in 0.1%.

(ii) Need to conserve water:-

Water is not only necessary for the external cleaning of human beings, but water is also very important for the internal cleanliness of the body. 2/3 or 71% of the body is made up of water. Blood, which we used to call the lifeline of the human body, is also 83% water. Water also serves to deliver oxygen throughout the body. According to scientific research, a person can live without food for 1 week, but cannot survive more than 5 days without a single drop of water. That's why we need to conserve water.

The air is colourless and odourless. The air is a mixture of number of gases. The most important constituent of air are nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide. Nitrogen amount to nearly 78 percentage of volume whereas oxygen make up to 21 percentage only. The remaining one percent of air include all the remaining gases found in the atmosphere.

There is a need to conserve water because it helps to preserve our environment. It keeps water pure and clean while protecting the environment. Tye main reason to conserve water is that we cannot live without water.
