Seed selection is important because :

@ if u select good and healthy seeds the crop will automatically  healthy 

@ The productivity will increase 

@ resistant to disease 

@ progeny will get variations that are helpful

seeds selected should be :
1. good quality
2.healthy
3. disease free and clean


two things have to be ensured while sowing the seed.
1. that the seedling have enough space for growth,and do not to compete for nutrients ,water and sunlight.
2. that the seeds are sown at the right depth.
if they are too close to the surface they may be eaten by birds , and if they are sown too deep they may deprived of air.
