The Great Indian Desert is also know as the Thar Desert. It is located in North West of India. Many animals live in the Thar desert like camels and rattle snake. The camels have many adaptations such as they have long legs to stay away from the hot sand. Since desert is covered with sand it cannot hold water so roots of plants have long roots to find water.
