Write a short note on Indian National Army.

It has been in existence between February and December 1942, but was formed with an aid from Japanese after the fall of Singapore.It consisted of Indian prisoners of war who were captured either during Malayan campaign or surrendered at Singapore.
The first embodiment of the national army was involved in operation of espionage in the Burma frontier which according to historians this threaten the moral of Indian troops and fed discontentment and was partly responsible for first Burma offensive.
Later on Quit India Movement was formed to preserve the loyalty of the Indian troops after suffering desertion and losses at the Burma. The unit raised turmoil within the British India troops, but its ban was lifted after the war ended.

Indian National Army

Indian Armed Forces are responsible for ensuring the security of India and every part of it. The Supreme Command of the Indian Armed Forces is with the President of India.
