1. Growing of two or more crops in a definate row pattern is known as Intercropping.

2. They are selected on the basis of their nutrient requirements such that the nutrient requirement are different.

3. This ensures maximum number of nutrients supplied and prevents pests and diseases from spreading to all plants belonging to one crop in field.

4. Both the crops give better yeild.

5. For example- Soyabean + Maize, Finger millet + Cowpea, etc.
