He was born on 30th August, 1569 at Fatehpur Sikri. He reigned from 1605 to 1627.

Jahangir compelled Rana Amar Singh of Mewar to submit to him. Ahmadnagar had risen in revolt. Jahangir put down that rebellion, too. The Afghans of Bengal also were defeated.

Answer:

Jahangir was the fourth mughal emperor. Jahangir was an educated and able administrator. He was known for his impartial justice to his people , irrespective of their religious faith . He continued Akbar's policy and earned respect from all spheres of the society. He was noted for political stability, brisk economic activity, beautiful paintings and monumental buildings. One of his political triumphs of jahangir's reign was the submission of Rana Amar Singh of Mewar (1615). Jahangir captured the fort of Kangra (1620) after a long siege . A part of Ahmednagar was also annexed . Malik Ambar ceded the territory of Balaghat to the Mughals.
