Jacobin club was one of the political parties formed in France during the period of French Revolution. The members of the club belonged to the less prosperous sections of society. They included shopkeepers, artisans, servants, daily wage workers etc. Their leader was Maxmilian Robespierre. They wore long striped trousers similar to dock workers and it's members were called sans-culottes. Theywore in addition a red cap symbolising liberty.

Jacobin club was ruled by Maximillian Robespierre.It was one of the most successful political club at he time of French Revolution.It derived it's name from the cover of St. Jacobins in Paris. The members of this club belongs to less prosperous groups of the society.They mainly consist of shopkeepers, local artisans, shoemakers, printers, etc.
