The Karachi Agreement

Under the leadership of the United Commission for India and Pakistan's Truce Sub-Committee, military representatives from India and Pakistan convened in Karachi from July 18 to July 27, 1949.

That United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan, in a letter dated July 2, 1949, summoned the governments of India and Pakistan to transmit fully accredited military senators to meet jointly in Karachi under the auspices of the Authority's Truce Sub-Committee to establish a halt line in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, mutually signed upon by the governments of India and Pakistan.
