It rise in the Brahmagiri ranges in the western ghats and reaches the bay of bengal in the south in Tmail Nadu. The total length of the river is 760 km. the main tributries of kaveri are Amravati,Bhavani,Hemavati and kabini. it's basin drains parts of karnatak,keral and Tamil Nadu.
