land are used mainly for growing crops in india and its a main occupation for a lot of people in india and like land in plains are used in normal pattern but like mountainous land are cutted into steps and step farming done on it and and areas having high rainfall and non plain land are settled into higher to lower shade so that not a large amount of water stays at one place. thank u hope it helps u
