Well, there were many significant changes in the tradition as well as lifestyle from Early Harappan Culture to Late Harappan Culture. Most of the new development took place during Late Harappan Culture only. Let's discuss some points about Late Harappan Culture.
• Mature Period : Harappan Culture matured around 2600 BCE and this mature period lasted till 1900 BCE. During this period, there was a large scale development of standard of living and technologies used. The language, cities, clothings, transport, etc. also developed.
• City Plannings : The city plánning in Late Harappan Culture, was quite unique and modernised. There was a proper drainage system as well as the houses were built in symmetrical order. The materials used for this were also of good quality like metals, cement, etc. while in early Harappan Culture there was use of woods and mud.
• Tourism : There were new canals built innthe civilisation which supported domestic travel by boats. Also there were ports built like Lothal, which enhanced the foreign travel. Bullock Carts, tongas, etc. were modernised with new forms of wheels which included rubber for easier transportation.
• Coins and Stamps : Many types of coins and stamps were developed during this period. There were introduction of copper and iron coins. Also aluminium items were rarely used. Stamps were published on the coins using 'hard press' system. These stamps were carefully designed with proper carvings.
• Art and Culture : There were wide use of arts and culture during this time. People used different artistic designs like paintings from carbon black, mud, eco - colours, etc. and made wide varieties of paintings in caves and on ground. Also culture flourished at their peak during this time. There were wide usage of different types of scripts, languages, calligraphy and music. Many new legends and epics were formed during this time.
