A retinal ganglion cell (RGC) is a type of neuron located near the inner surface of the retina of the eye. It receives visual information fromphotoreceptors. A rod-shaped cell in the eye that is sensitive to light. The rods are more sensitive than the cones, but do not discern color.

Hello Friend !

Here's an answer to your question. Hope this helps !

These specialized cells are called photoreceptors. There are 2 types of photoreceptors in the retina: rods and cones. The rods are most sensitive to light and dark changes, shape and movement and contain only one type of light-sensitive pigment. Rods are not good for color vision.
