You might have noticed several small coloured boys in cytoplasm of cell of tradescantia leaf .they are scattered in the cytoplasm of the leaves cell called plastic. they are of different colours .some of them contain green pigment called chlorophyll . Green coloured plastic are called chloroplast. they provide green colour to the leaves . chlorophyll in the chloroplast of leaves is essential for photosynthesis .
