Explanation:

Hint:

Aquatic ecosystem involves oceans, rivers, and lakes. An aquatic ecosystem is an ecosystem in a body of water and is the habitat for water-dependent living species such as microbes, animals, or plants.

Complete answer:

Coringa mangrove forest is located in the South of Kakinada bay in Andhra Pradesh, India, and nestling on the deltaic branches of the Godavari River. It is the second-largest stretch of mangrove forest in India with more than 120 bird species and with 24 mangrove tree species. There are two components of the coringa ecosystem i.e. abiotic and biotic components. Biotic components are producers, consumers, and decomposers. While abiotic factors involve temperature, soil, air, etc.

Mangroves are small shrubs or trees that grow in coastal saline or brackish water. Mangrove trees are salt-tolerant and also known as halophytes and they are also adapted to harsh coastal conditions. They also contain complex salt filtration and a complex root system to cope with saltwater immersion, as well as they are adapted to low oxygen conditions of waterlogged mud.

Coringa ecosystem is an estuarine ecosystem i.e. (estuaries are those where rivers discharge into the sea), it is a partially enclosed, coastal water body where freshwater from water streams and river mixes with salt water from the ocean and also consists of mangrove swamps. Since the freshwater and sea mix in this region, there are periodic tides that bring rich nutrients. So, the salinity of the Coringa mangrove region will be the same as that of the Bay of Bengal.

Note:

Coringa supports a wide range of flora and fauna. The mangrove forests play an important role as they serve as home to a large variety of fish, shrimps, crabs, etc, and fisheries form an essential food source for thousands of coastal communities.
