The period from 1793 to1794 was referred as the reign of terror . As he followed the policy of severe control and punishment . People who donot follow his rule and orders were arrested , imprisoned . He used a device guillotine which was consists of two poles abd a blade used to beheaded person.
At the end on July 1794 he was beheaded by the people because if severe rules and punishments .
