Babur is the creator of the Indian Mughal Empire. On his father's side, he was a descendant of Timur and on his mother's side Genghis Khan. Its name was initially Zahiruddin Muhammad. At the age of 11 in 1494 Babur became Farghana's ruler succeeding his father, Umar Shaikh Mirza.
