ANSWER::
1. Narmada basin lies between longitudes 72° 32' E to 81° 45' E and latitudes 21° 20' N to 23° 45' N and extends over an area of 98,796 sq. km
2. Basically basin is bounded on the:-
(a) North by the Vindhyas
(b)East by the Maikala range
(c) South by the Satpuras
(d)West by the Arabian Sea.
3. Panchmarhi (a small area) is at a height of more than 1,000 meters above mean sea level.
4. Narmada River starts from the Amarkantak Plateau of Maikala range in the Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh.
5. It has a elevation of 1057 meters above mean sea level .
6. The river fall into Gulf of Cambay In Arabian Sea Near Bharush in Gujarat after travelling a long distance of 1,312 km.
7.Climate of basin => Humid tropical ranging from sub-humid in the east to semi-arid in the west with pockets of humid or per humid climates around higher hill reaches.
8. Narmada basin is crossed by Tropic of Cancer in upper plains area and a major part of basin lies below the line
