nerve tissue consists of two cell types. nerve cells and supporting cells.
neuron is the structural and functional unit of nervous tissue.
the neurons contain : cell body,dendrites,axon,axon terminal,nucleus, myelinsheath,Schwann cell,node of ranvier.
neurons cannot undergo mitosis .neurons are ectodermal.
