Bohr's model of an atom

1. An electron in an atom revolves around the nucleus only in certain definite circular orbits, this orbits are associate with a definite amount of energies and are called energy cells or levels.

2. Energy is emitted or absorbed only when the electron jump from one to another . The amonut of energy emitted or absorb is given by the difference of the energy associated with the two energies levels involved , i e ∆e = E2- E1

3. As long as the electrons remain in the particular orbit it neither absorbs nor emit energy, ie energy of an electron in a particular orbit remains constant this orbits are called stationery orbits.

4. Electrons revolve only in those circular orbit for which the angular momentum ia integral multiple of h÷2π

hope it will help u

An atom is made up of three particles -Electron ,proton and neutron.

Due to presence of equal no. of electron and proton , overall atom is neutral.

Proton and neutron revolve rapidly around the nucleus in fix circular path called energy level or shells. (K,L,M,N) etc.

There is a limit to the number of electron s which each energy level can hold.

Each energy level is according with fix amount of energy i.e. nearest to nucleus having minimum energy .Shell away from nucleus having maximum energy.

There is no change in the energy of electron as long as the keep revolving in the same energy level and the atom remain stable.
