"Robinson Crusoe" is maybe one of the best sellers of Denial Defoe. It was written in 1719, nearly 300 years ago, back from now. Still it's fun and excitement almost makes the readers forget that it was written so long ago. The main theme of the story is self-reliance. Washed on a wild, inhabited island, Robin Crusoe has to find ways to keep himself alive. Though he is thrown into a serious situation, Robinson overcomes every difficulty with his initiative and intelligence. He even manages to rescue others from danger. Altogether, the wonderful survival story of Robinson Crusoe is what that makes the novel a must-read. This is one of the renowned literary pieces of all time.

Robinson Crusoe, as a young and impulsive wanderer, defied his parents and went to sea. He was involved in a series of violent storms at sea and was warned by the captain that he should not be a seafaring man. Ashamed to go home, Crusoe boarded another ship and returned from a successful trip to Africa. Taking off again, Crusoe met with bad luck and was taken prisoner in sallee. his captors sent Crusoe out to fish, and he used this to his advantage and escaped, along with a slave.
