October and early November mark the transition from the monsoon to dry winter in India.The atmosphere is humid due to the recent rainfall. The south west monsoon weakens, high pressure winds take place of low pressure winds and causing clear and hot days. The high humidity prevents early evaporation of the sweat making it more irritating and oppressive.
