⏩ As the conflict between the provisional government and the Bolsheviks grew, Lenin feard the provincial government would set-up a dictatorship.
⏩ In September 1917, Lenin started discussions for an uprising against the government. Bolsheviks supporters in the army, Soviets and factories were brought together.
⏩ On 16th October 1917, persuaded the Petrograd, Soviets and Bolshevik party to agree to a socialist seizure of power. A military revolutionary committee was appointed by the Soviets under Leon Trotski to organize the seizure. The date of the event was kept a secret.
⏩ The uprising began on 24th October. Sensing trouble, Prime Minister Kerenski had left the city to summon troops which later seize government offices and arrested ministers.

October Revolution, also known as Bolshevik Revolution in which the Bolshevik Party, a Communist party led by Lenin was brought into power in Russia, establishing the Soviet regime in 1971. This was the 2nd and last important period of the Russian Revolution of 1917. The revolution was triggered by Russian setbacks in World War I.
