The first Olympic Games took place in 1896 in Athens in Greece. In 1920 first Olympic flag was presented. The flag connected with five interconnected rings. These rings colors are blue, yellow, black, green and red. These colors were chosen because at least one of them appears on the flag of every country in the world. The five rings in flag stands for Five continents. The Olympic logo represents the five continents - America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia.

The Olympic Games are held once in every four years. The Olympic Games consists of 35 Sports and 30 disciplines. The Olympic motto is Citius, Altius, Fortius a latin expression meaning Faster, Higher, Stronger. The aim of Olympic Games was to bring together Athletes from various countries in order to promote world peace. The Olympic Games give opportunity to Athletes for showing their Strength and Skills.

It is a very special honor to participate in the Olympic Games. Participants spent years training for this special event. They represent their countries. Qualifying for a sport on the Olympic team varies for each sport. Olympic Games are popular because they bring together people from all nations of the world.
