FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS:

• The democratic nature of Indian Constitution is reflected in the Fundamental Rights.

• Fundamental Rights act as guarantee that Indian citizens can live peacefully.

• The Fundamental Rights are incorporated in Part - III of Indian Constitution.

• The articles 12 - 35 describes about the Fundamental Rights.

• The Fundamental Rights were adopted from the Constitution of United States.

• There are totally six Fundamental Rights. They are:

1) Right to Equality

2) Right to Freedom

3) Right to Religious Freedom

4) Right against Exploitation

5) Cultural and Educational Right

6) Right to Constitutional Remedies.

• Fundamental Rights are essential human rights that are given to every Citizen of India irrespective of caste, creed, gender, race etc..

Right to property was aslo included in Fundamental Rights.

• But it was removed from the list through 44th ammendment act, 1978.
