hey friend here is your answer

Ozone or trioxygen, is an inorganic molecule with the chemical formula O3. It is a pale blue gas with a distinctively pungentsmell. It is an allotrope of oxygen that is much less stable than the diatomic allotrope O2, breaking down in the lower atmosphere to O2or dioxygen. Ozone is formed from dioxygen by the action of ultraviolet light (UV) and electrical discharges within the Earth's atmosphere. It is present in very low concentrations throughout the latter, with its highest concentration high in the ozone layerof the stratosphere, which absorbs most of the Sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

hope it help you

Answer:

The ozone layer is layer which is found in stratosphere region of earth which absorbs the harmful ultra violet radiations coming to the earth surface. It act like a thick blanket.

It consists of high concentration of ozone in comparison to other parts of the atmosphere. The highest level of ozone is found in stratosphere which form a layer called as ozone layer which is found between 10 kilometer to 50 kilometer above the surface.

It filter out the shorter wavelength of light which are less than 320 nano -meter which are coming from the sun that would be harmful to the life form on the earth in large doses.

It acts as shield which absorb the UV light and keep them away from the earth surface and prevent them from causing damage to life.

But due to over use of chemical like CFCs  and other ozone depleting substances there is depletion of ozone layer due to which UV radiations can reach the earth surface and cause disease like skin cancer, cataracts etc.
