Answer:

Explanation:parturation is a complex neuro endocrine mechanism. The signal for parturation originate from the fully developed fetus and the placenta ,which induces mild contractions in the uterine muscles called the festal ejection reflex , this triggers the release of oxytocin which further acts on uterine muscles and produces strong contractions which in turn stimulate further sec of oxytocin. this stimulatery reflex between oxytocin and uterine contractions leads to further more stronger and stronger contraction which leads to the expulsion of the baby called parturation

Short note on parturition.

  • Parturition is the process of expelling of fully mature young ones from the mother's uterus.
  • It is induced by both nervous system and hormones.
  • The signals of child birth originates from fully matured foetus and placenta which induce mild uterine contractions called FOETAL EJECTION REFLEX.
  • It causes quick release of oxytocin from maternal pituitary which stimulate uterine contraction called LABOUR PAINS.
  • Relaxin secreted from placenta that increase flexibility of pubis symphysis and cervix uterus.
  • the corticotropsin releasing hormone released by placenta establishes the timing of birth.
  • Parturition have three stages.
  1. Dilation stage.
  2. Expulsion stage.
  3. Placental stage.
