Answer:
PLASTIDS :
- Found in Plant Cell.
- Largest organelle in plant cell.
- On the basis of pigments, they are of 3 types -
- Leucoplast : Colourless. They store material such as starch, oil, protein and granules.
- Chromoplast : Colourful. They import colors thi flowers and fruits. They help in pollination and fruit dispersal.
- Chloroplast : Green in colour. Bounced by two membranes. It traps solar energy to manufacture through photosynthesis.
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM :
- It is a large network of membrane bound tubes and sheets extending from outer nuclear membrane to plasma membrane.
- Depending upon presence and absence of ribosomes on its surface, it is of two types -
- Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum : Ribosomes are attached on its surface for protein synthesis.
- Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum : Without ribosomes and secrets lipids.
