  • when the source of sound vibrate it collides with the partical present in air. This particle further collide with another particle and this continuous in the form of a chain carrying energy until the energy of particle becomes too feeble to collide further and propagate the sound.

when the compression of the medium reaches the eardrum the presence of the medium increase and the eardrum moves inword similarly, eardrum move outward when refraction reaches it, in this way the eardrum vibrate. In this process the sound propagate from the source to listener.
