Qutub Minar is characterized as one of the monuments that reflect the beauty of India's cultural heritage and craftsmanship. It is a soaring, 73-meter tall tower of victory comprising of five storeys and 379 spiral stepping staircase. The monument is located in the village of Mehrauli, Delhi. It is built in red sandstone with an intricate design that mirrors the artistic caliber of the artists of Delhi Sultanate. It was built in 1193 by the Mughal emperor Qutub-ud-din Aibak to celebrate his victory over the last Hindu ruler and unfurl the flag of Muslim dominance in Delhi. UNESCO entitled it as the world heritage sites as it is the tallest tower made up of bricks and stone. Qutub Minar has become a symbol for Delhi and India's cultural and historical significance which is the center of attraction for tourists.

Qutub Minar was built by Qutub - I'd - din-aibak in 1192.He only build it till the 1st storey.In 1220 his successor and son in law Shamsuddin Iltutmish completed further 3 storeys.In 1369 a lightning stroke destroyed the top storey.Feroz shah replaced the damages storey and added one more and made it a 5 storey building.It is located in Mehrauli , Delhi.It's height is 73 meters. It shows the designs and carvings of the mural architecture.
