Ranilaxmi Bai also popularly known as Rani of Jhansi was the Queen of Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh. She was born on 19th November, 1828 in Varanasi and was named Manikarnika by her parents. She was married to the King of Jhansi, Raja Gangadhar Rao and had a son named Damodar Rao in 1851.
