Chandragupta was the first Gupta ruler. He was the son of ghatotkach. The Chandragupta gets the gain in prestige when married with the Lic cha Devi princes’ Kumara Devi, though Vaishali was not the part of the kingdom. They were tried to make the rule in the Magadha, but it does not stand in the Magadha, and after that, he established their kingdom in the Uttar Pradesh and e took the title of Maharajadhiraja from the Uttar Pradesh. He started the Gupta era in A.D. 319-20.
