The Ganga river originate in the mountain ranges of Himalayas,near Gangotri glacier at the height of 13,800 feet. After crossing through India and Bangladesh it falls in bay of Bengal.Its main tributaries are Yamuna,Gomti,Ghagra,Kosi,and Gandak in the north side .Ganga's southern tributaries are Chambal,Betwa and kosi .The main tributaries of river Ganga is the Yamuna which meets at Allahabad.India and Bangladesh both signed the treaty for sharing the Ganga water.
