Right to Information (RTI) is an Act of the Parliament of India to provide for setting out the practical regime of the right to information for citizens and replaces the erstwhile Freedom of information Act, 2002. ... In the first ten years of the commencement of the act over 17,500,000 applications have been filed.

an act to provide for free and compulsory education to all the children of the Age of six to fourteen years..... India became one of 135 countries to make education a fundamental right of every child when the act came into force on 1 April 2010......
The title of the RTI incorporates the words 'free and compulsory '.............
