in rule of two clause (FB) of the

notification 'small account' means

a savings account in a banking company where_the aggregate of all credits in a financial year does not exceed rupees

1 lakh ; the aggregate of all withdrawals

and transfer in a month does not exceed rupees 10 thousands; and the balance at any point of time does not exceed rupees

50 thousands.

Rule (2A)of the notification lays down the details procedure for opening small account. bank are advised to ensure

adherence to the procedure provided in the rules for opening of small account.
