Pandita Ramabai another social reformer and activist in India who served widows and helpless women of India. She spoke against the practice of child marriage and the terrible constraits on the lives of child widows. In 1887, the Ramabai Association was founded which worked for the downtrodden in society. She also established the Mukti mission in 1889 as a refuge for young widows who were abused by their families.

Panditha Ramabai was a societal campaigner who was conferred with the title of Sanskrit scholar.

Explanation:

She promoted the concept of girl education and she introduces the Arya Mahila Samaj which worked for the well- being of the women. She established an organization for widows which worked for the development of widows.  

She also envisaged many funding programs for establishment of houses and schools. She also wrote a book explaining the miseries faced by the women due to racial discrimination. She trained women in various arts so that they remain self-reliant.
