(i) Supreme Court is the chief judicial court in the country.


(ii) Its decision binds on all other decisions of the courts in the country.


(iii) Any law passed in parliament can be challenged here by judicial review


(iv) Its judges are appointed by collegium.


(v) Judges of Supreme Court appoints junior judges of Supreme Court and all judges of High Courts.


(vi) The Chief Justice Of India can be removed by impeachment.

The Supreme Court of India is the highest judicial forum and final court of appeal under the Constitution of India, the highest constitutional court, with the power of judicial review. Consisting of the Chief Justice of India and a maximum of 30 other judges, it has extensive powers in the form of original, appellate and advisory jurisdictions.
