Dogra were great lovers of culture. Being Hindus they took great interest they promoting and patronizing hindu mythological culture. Annual Ramleelas and Raasleelas were organized by them for which theater companies were brought from Mathura and Vrindavan. Also a local performing company was established in named Raghunath theatrical company is the premises of Raghunath Temple. In the later years, the Dora's also promoted other dramas and performing arts like folk theater etc.
