answer

The 'Gandhi - Irwin Pact' was a political agreement signed by Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Irwin,Viceroy of India, on 5 March 1931 before the second Round Table Conference in London.

The terms of the "Gandhi-Irwin Pact" fell manifestly short of those Gandhi prescribed as the minimum for a truce.

According to the agreement:

The government agreed to:

* Immediate release of all Political Prisoners not convicted for violence.

* Remission of all fines not yet collected.

* Return of acquired land not yet sold to the third party

* Lenient treatment to all government employees who had resigned.
