The Ganges or River Ganga is one of the main rivers that flow through India and Bangladesh. It is 2,525 km long and originates at the western Himalayas in Uttarkhand, India, then flows through the Gangetic Plain and Bangladesh, before eventually emptying into the Bay of Bengal.
