⭐ WHAT IS HORMONE ?

Ans. Hormone is a chemical substance secreted from an endocrine gland, which is directly poured into the blood stream and acts on a target organ or cells.

⭐ SHORT NOTE ON HORMONE-INSULIN :

INSULIN - It is a kind of hormone secreted by Pancreas behind the stomach. It controls the amount of sugar (glucose) in the blood by converting extra glucose into glycogen which gets stored in the liver and body muscles. It also induces the burning of extra glucose and produces heat energy too. Diabetes is a disease which is caused due to the insufficient secretion of INSULIN hormone and due to Diabetes a person becomes weak and loses weight.
