• British, and European who had come to India for trading purpose becomes the rulers and administrators  and they also had influenced the economic and political systems of India.
• The impact on the cultural and social life was gradual
• Various social practice were abolished and few changes were made related to women education.
• Also in 1829, Sati the practice of burning a widow with her dead husband was made illegal.
• Slavery was declared illegal.
• They also brought various ideas and suggestions from there country to India which help India for better agriculture and other practice.
• They forced the commercialization of agriculture with the growing of various cash crops and the raw materials for the industries in the Britain.
• The greatest impact of British policies was the drain of wealth from India.
• Also, people suffered poverty, malnutrition, disease, cultural upheaval, economic exploitations.
• Also child marriage, infanticides, ideas like liberty, equality, freedom and human rights were brought by the British.

Hence, there are some positive and negative impact of European traders on social and economical life of India.
