Emperor Wu of Han (30 July 157 BC – 29 March 87 BC), born Liu Che, courtesy name Tong, was the seventh emperor of the Han dynasty of China, ruling from 141–87 BC.[3] His reign lasted 54 years — a record not broken until the reign of the Kangxi Emperor more than 1,800 years later. His reign resulted in a vast territorial expansion and the development of a strong and centralized state resulting from his governmental reorganization, including his promotion of Confucian doctrines. In the field of historical social and cultural studies, Emperor Wu is known for his religious innovations and patronage of the poetic and musical arts, including development of the Imperial Music Bureau into a prestigious entity. Short note on the king Wu-Ti:
- Wu-Ti was the most important emperor of Han dynasty. Under his leadership many foreign wars were fought which eventually lead to territorial expansion.
- The Hsiung nu rose against him however his received a big failure in front of the former’s strategic power. He raised a huge army. He nationalised many business and reorganised imperial bureaucracy.
- In order to find allies he used to established diplomatic expeditions which gradually lead to the knowledge of existence of other nations. This eventually led to the establishment of silk route. He was fond of confusion thoughts.
- He was known for his success in battlefield. He was successful in establishing political boundaries of China.
