When ripe pollen from an anther of the same kind of flower catches on the stigma, each pollen grain sends out a tiny threadlike tube. The tube grows down through the style and pierces one of the ovules in the ovary. This process is called fertilization.this is also called pollination
pollination has two types
1.self pollination:-this takes place in one flower
2.cross pollination:-this takes place in 2 different flowers of same plant or tree

Hi!!

Here's your answer!!

The fusion of the male gamete with the female gamete is called fertilisation.

During fertilisation, the following process take place :

The pollen grains germinate on the stigma and pollen tubes develop. The pollen tubes move downwards into the style. The pollen tubes are the carriers of male gametes.

One pollen grain finally enters the ovule, where female gamete(egg cell) is located.
Female gamete or egg cell is present inside the ovule.

Finally the male gamete fuses with the female gametes. This completes the process of fertilisation in flower.

Hope this helps you!!
